Spirito by Enartis Partners with Fermentras India to expand technical support for indian distillers
Galliate, 1ST August 2026 − Spirito by Enartis, the spirits-focused brand of Italian oenology leader Enartis, has appointed Fermentras India Pvt. Ltd. as its official exclusive commercial and technical representative in the Indian subcontinent.
This partnership marks a significant step in Spirito’s global expansion and reflects Enartis’s long-term commitment to supporting high-growth spirits markets. Through Fermentras India, distillers and brand owners will gain direct access to Spirito’s Spirit Value Design philosophy, an integrated approach that uses fermentation, maturation and pre-bottling tools to elevate both the sensory and commercial value of whisky, rum and brandy.
Developed through Enartis’s CERM Centre of Excellence for Microbiological Research, the Spirito range covers every stage of production, from raw material processing to bottling. It includes distillers’ yeasts, enzymes, nutrients and a dedicated oak maturation line validated specifically for whisky, rum and brandy. Each solution is designed as part of a coordinated system, giving producers greater control over character, consistency and quality.
Fermentras India, headquartered in New Delhi and led by industry veteran Rukn Luthra, will provide local technical guidance and commercial support to producers across India. The collaboration brings Spirito’s full toolkit, spanning mashing, fermentation, maturation and finishing, closer to Indian distillers at a time of rapid category growth and rising quality ambitions.
